BUILDING A SPIRIT OF BROTHERHOOD THROUGH THE CHURCH BASED COMMUNITY

Abstract

The rapid development of technology has not only led to the rapid flow of information, but also the emergence of various types of social media that connect people with one another. Social media has emerged as a digital communication tool that is able to reach the world and makes it easy to receive information in a relatively short time. In this digital era, we can interact with others without requiring direct physical contact. This is a challenge in itself when faced with brotherhood. Brotherhood becomes weaker if people live in isolation and loneliness. The Catholic Church sees that the challenges of this digital world can only be responded to by efforts to build brotherhood through communities or base groups. The presence of this base group or base community was part of the way of life of the early Church
