About the Journal

Porta Care: Journal of Educational and Ecclesial Pastoral Counseling is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal dedicated to advancing research, theory, and professional practice in educational and ecclesial pastoral counseling in all religions. The journal provides an interdisciplinary forum for academics, researchers, educators, counselors, clergy, and pastoral practitioners to explore contemporary issues in pastoral care, counseling, spiritual formation, mental health, educational guidance, and ecclesial ministry. Emphasizing ethical, contextual, and faith-informed approaches, Porta Care publishes original research, conceptual papers, and best practices that contribute to the development of pastoral counseling in educational institutions, churches, and wider communities, and is published biannually in June and December.
